Hi There,
I am using UJ now for a couple of years in combination with my touchscreen.
It keeps on working perfectly! I hope you keep up the good work!

However, I have a question about FLAC filtering.
I use UJ for random play for my parties at home. (still everybody is impressed  )
But I am a bit of an audiofreak and I keep filling up UJ with new songs.
When I want to LISTEN to music I rather prefer the FLAC files to play.
Is there a way to filter FLAC files and play them random, without having to update them manually?
In other words: Can I create a filter that is updating itself every day (and puts the new FLAC files in a random playlist)

Hi Steven,

You have to use the "Filter Queries" tab in Random Play.

Random Play->Configure->Filter Queries.

Click "Add" and type "FLAC Only"  (or whatever you want it to be called).
Now choose "FLAC Only" from the drop down list.
Now enter this in the free text entry area below the drop down:

extpart='flac'

Then click "update".
Make sure "FLAC Only" is still selected in the drop down list.

That's it, random play will now only play FLAC files.  I just tested it out, seems to work fine.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your reply.
It works!
Is it also possible to select all FLAC's and put them in a playlist (in the playlist editor) ?
I can't find a possible option, but maybe you now another fancy command

Thanks again

Hi Steven,

Unfortunately no, I haven't added any special filtering options to the playlist.  I know that I should have, but I haven't.  I'll see if I can think of anything though.
